Leinster V Munster

Rugby

With the six nations over and done with and Ireland crowned deserving champions, focus returns to the provincial set up, namely the inter-pro clash between Leinster and Munster in the Rabo Pro 12. This top of the table match up has been spiced up by Munster coach Rob Penney saying the match will be Munster versus the current six nations champions.

With just two points separating these two teams at the summit of the Pro 12 table this game promises to be another memorable clash.  Here’s the higlights of the last time the two sides met with Munster edging out a tight affair 19-15.

10 year old wins six nations!!

A young rugby enthusiast won the lottery on paddy’s day after he received a special surprise by finding a six nations medal in the  top that Jordi Murphy gave him. Jordi (being the lovely Blackrock College educated man that he is) asked on twitter if anyone had  found his medal. A young Leinster supporter got in contact with Jordi to say that he had his medal and that he would be happy to return it. Here he is with the great Brian O’Driscoll showing off said medal.

Here is the ecstatic young rugby fan who returned the medal. A future Leinster legend in our opinion. If anyone deserves a season ticket it’s this man.

Leinster V Zebre 21/03/14

Leinster came out with a bonus point victory over Zebre in the RDS on Friday night but it wasn’t all smooth sailing. In a scrappy game a Noel Reid try and a penalty from Ian Madigan were all that separated the sides after 60 minutes.

In the space of just under ten minutes Luke Fitzgerald turned this around with two well taken tries in the left hand corner. The first of which came after a strong Leinster maul. His second came from a flowing back line move which featured the now trademark loop around and ended in another strong finish in the left hand corner.

At this point Leinster were comfortably ahead and began to seek the bonus point try which eventually came in the dying seconds of the match as Jordi Murphy touched down from the back of another powerful maul.
